As part of our ongoing commitment to improving patient access and ensuring requests contain the information our clinicians need, we have enabled Smart Triage Questions within our online consultation system.
When you submit an online request for a health problem, you may be asked a small number of additional questions based on the information you have entered. These questions are designed to help us gather relevant information at the point of contact, which can support more effective triage by our clinical team.
What you need to know:
- The additional questions are generated using AI technology.
- They are designed to collect relevant information about your current health concern only.
- The AI does not access your NHS medical records. It only uses the information you enter into the form.
- Answering the questions is completely optional, and you can choose to skip them.
- All requests continue to be reviewed by an appropriately trained healthcare professional. The AI does not make clinical decisions or replace clinician judgement.
Please remember that our online consultation service should not be used for urgent medical problems.
