How to Book an Appointment

You can make an appointment or get medical advice in the following ways:

Telephone Advice

The doctors are happy to consult over the telephone. If you would like one please ask reception for a telephone consultation. These can be very useful for discussing medication problems, test results or for anything that does not require the GP to examine you for.

Video Consultations

Our Health Care Professionals will conduct some consultations via a video link.

Nurse Practitioners

The majority of minor illness and on the day appointments can be dealt with by a Nurse Practitioner who can also prescribe as required.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. You can cancel your appointment online, or use our dedicated cancellation answer machine service (please note that this service is for cancellation of appointments only, no other messages will be dealt with).

Emergency Surgery

Occasionally you may feel so unwell that an on the day appointment is required.  Before you contact the practice, consider the alternatives. Your local pharmacist may be able to give you the help you need.

Pharmacists are highly trained health professionals, and offer a wide range of health services.Your local pharmacist will be able to offer you expert advice and medicines for a wide range of common ailments without the need to visit your GP. No appointment is necessary and where appropriate, medicines are free of charge.

Opticians, dentists and podiatrists are also often accessible for specialised  problems and will refer back to general practice if they feel it is appropriate.

Self Check-In

Self Check-In is an easy to use touch screen system that allows patients to check themselves in for appointments. Please help keep the queues down at reception by checking yourself in.
